Destroy the Icon project- process

 

Ok, so I got really frustrated, so I restarted, and this is what I have so far :/ 

I used AI for the background. I still want to keep that earthy theme, but I decided on using a red palette to match the lips. You can't really tell whose lips they are, so I'm satisfied with this work so far. I will still add more, but again I'm open to comments!

 This is the outline work of the lamp. For the second image, I was inspired by Turkish and middle eastern/Armenian culture and decided to use a tea pot pouring tea on the lamp. So the lamp would be the armudu which is the name if the slim-waisted tea glass such cultures use!
